These terms apply to the Ambient app for iPad and iPhone and the services it uses (together, “Ambient”), provided by SIA Codo (“we”, “us”), a company registered in Latvia. By using Ambient you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Ambient.
Ambient is a dashboard that shows the time, weather, your calendar, timers and background photos, and has an optional voice assistant. You may use it for your personal, non-commercial use. Please don't misuse it: for example, don't try to access our servers or the services Ambient uses other than through the app, interfere with them, or use them to break the law. We may limit or stop access for anyone who does.
When you connect a Google account, you allow Ambient to access your Google Calendar as described in our Privacy Policy, and you can disconnect it at any time. Your calendar data and anything else you add stays yours. You're responsible for the accounts you connect and for the events you ask the assistant to add.
The voice assistant uses AI services to understand you and answer. It can misunderstand what you say or give answers that are incomplete or wrong, and it can make mistakes when it starts timers or adds events. Please check anything important. Weather, calendar information and timers are provided as a convenience: don't rely on Ambient for anything where a mistake could cause harm, such as medical, safety or time-critical needs.
Ambient uses services from other companies, including Google (calendar), Apple and MET Norway (weather), Pexels (photos), and OpenAI and Anthropic through Vercel (the voice assistant). Your use of them through Ambient is also subject to their terms. We're not responsible for these services, and they may change or become unavailable.
We may change, suspend or stop Ambient or any of its features, including the voice assistant, at any time. Features that rely on our servers or on third-party services may be limited, for example by usage limits, or be unavailable at times.
Ambient, including its design, software and name, belongs to SIA Codo. Background photos belong to their photographers and are provided by Pexels under the Pexels license.
Ambient is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by mistakes of the voice assistant, inaccurate information, missed timers or events, or the unavailability of Ambient or third-party services. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
If you got Ambient from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms are between you and SIA Codo, not Apple, and Apple isn't responsible for Ambient or its support.
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above, and for significant changes we'll let you know in the app or on this page. If you keep using Ambient after a change, the updated terms apply.
These terms are governed by the laws of Latvia, without affecting the mandatory consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
